Backups you have restored, not just taken.

A copy is only worth something if it opens. We set up automatic backups for your ERP database and files, keep a copy off-site and test the restore.

What a proper backup includes

  • Automatic, every day

Your ERP database and shared files are copied without anyone having to remember. If it fails, we know.

  • One copy somewhere else

Fire, theft or ransomware also hit the external drive next to the server. So we keep a copy off-site too.

  • Tested restores

We run test restores on a schedule, so you know your data will come back when it matters.

How we work

  1. Inventory

What must be saved: ERP database, files, email, settings. And how many days back.

  2. Design

Where each copy goes, how often and how long it is kept.

  3. Installation

We set up the backup, the failure alerts and the first full restore.

  4. Testing

We test a restore on a schedule and tell you the result.

From hoping to knowing

Today

  • Someone copies to a USB stick, when they remember.
  • The only copy sits next to the server.
  • Nobody has ever tried to open it.

With ABOVE

  • An automatic daily copy, with an alert if it fails.
  • One copy always stays off-site.
  • The restore has been tested and we know how long it takes.

Frequently asked questions

How long must we keep accounting records?

At least 5 years from the end of the period, or longer if another law requires it (Greek Law 4308/2014, article 7). Digital form is allowed as long as records can be searched and printed. That is why we plan the archiving of your ERP database too.

If we use SOFT1 Cloud ERP, do we need our own backup?

For the ERP itself, ENTERSOFTONE keeps automatic copies in the cloud. Your office files, email and PCs are not covered by that, and that is where we set up backups.

What happens if ransomware hits us?

If there is an off-site copy the malware cannot reach, we restore from it. That is why we insist on a copy elsewhere: without one, your options shrink considerably.

Is an external drive enough?

Not on its own. A drive next to the server is lost with it in a fire, theft or ransomware attack. It is useful as a first copy for quick restores, alongside a second one off-site.

Find out whether your backup restores.

We check what is saved, where it goes and whether it opens. Then you know exactly where you stand.
